Picadillo with Tortillas:

1/2 onion

1 clove garlic

Brown the onions and the garlic before browning meat. 

1 LB of ground meat (in my case ground venison that the in-laws hunted, killed, butchered and made into food—fascinating, eh?).

2 1/2 cups-ish of frozen mixed veggies

2 TBSP of Tomato Paste

1/4 cup of water.

Salt, pepper, cayenne pepper to taste. 

—Brown the ground meat in a medium non-stick 4qt pot on medium high. Add the frozen vegetables cover and steam for 5 minutes. Add salt, pepper, tomato paste, and cayenne pepper to give it the flavor you like best. Stir for about 2 minutes until the tomato paste dissolves. Add the 1/4 cup of water cover and steam for another 5 minutes on low.

(usually I make this dish with rice)
